The IHHA is an association of people who acquired a hearing loss after developing their verbal communication skills.
We are a small Irish charitable and voluntary organisation who campaign for greater awareness on hearing loss, greater access to services and generate support for each other.

Did you know that some of our IHHA members appeared recently on RTE Radio 1 to talk about hearing loss?
When Carol Robinson Tweed spoke to Gerry McArdle, producer of ‘Outside the Box’ recently, she discovered that the station had not done anything on deafness for many years; Gerry had often thought of doing a programme on deafness but hadn’t known how to go about it. He invited Carol to put together ideas for a show, outlining the important issues and the questions that should be asked, and he approved them. Carol assembled a panel comprising Ken, Diana, Brigid and herself and off they went for a recording! The show was broadcast on 15th January 2010.
